For years, people hung their stockings along the mantle of their fireplace. Another thing to consider is storage. Most stocking stands come with little or no assembly at all, and storing these wonderful assemblies make it easy to put up out of the way until next year.
People have even constructed their own stocking stand, and is probably more preferred than a store bought brand. Constructing your own stocking stand can bring in a little sentimental value as it’s handed down from generation to generation, not to mention, that they would make excellent gifts, not just for Christmas but for any occasion.
